How do I create a quote without a payment schedule?

Normally when you create a quote, you would add a payment schedule so that your clients know when their payments are due, for example:

  • $500 Deposit due 7 days after the quote is created

  • 100% of the remaining balance due 14 days before the Main Shoot Date

This is a common scenario for some of you, especially if you are a wedding photographer.

But there are also circumstances when you would want to send a quote to a client but not include a payment schedule.

For example, you might be a commercial photographer and you'd like to send a quote to a potential client, without requesting payment upon acceptance. Your client will need to review your quote, possibly have it approved by other parties, and negotiate the terms. In this scenario, adding a payment schedule with due dates may not make sense, especially as you probably don't even have a shoot date yet.

In scenarios like this, you can now send a quote without a payment schedule.

To do this, when you're creating a new quote:

  1. Add whatever products, packages, and discounts you'd like to include

  2. And then where it says "Assign a payment schedule to this quote", choose "No payment required".

Just be aware that quotes with "No payment required" will not automatically turn into invoices when they are accepted.

You can easily turn an accepted quote into an invoice by following these steps:

  1. Go to View Quote

  2. Click "Make Invoice"

  3. Choose a payment schedule

  4. Save the invoice
